Two hotels near Prophet’s Mosque introduce enhanced digital bookings and tailored services
Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East & Africa, in partnership with Taiba Investments, has relaunched two well-known Madinah properties – Millennium Al Aqeeq and Millennium Taiba – after an extensive programme of upgrades aimed at refining the guest experience.
Both hotels are located steps from Al-Masjid An-Nabawi, Islam’s second holiest mosque, long serving visitors and Umrah pilgrims seeking proximity to the sacred site.
Enhancements include improved digital booking capabilities, refreshed dining options catering to international and regional tastes and tailored services for religious travellers.
“These properties are more than key assets in our portfolio—they are landmarks of faith, connection, and culture,” said Ali Hamad Lakhraim Al Zaabi, President of Millennium Hotels MEA.
Millennium Al Aqeeq features 480 contemporary rooms with select rooms offering panoramic views of Madinah. Guests can choose between two restaurants serving Asian, Middle Eastern, and international dishes, in addition to a coffee shop and on-site retail outlets.
Located steps from historic mosques on Omar Ibn Al Khattab Road, Millennium Taiba offers 166 rooms with bathrooms featuring hot tubs and saunas.
Guests can enjoy a fitness centre, a restaurant with buffet breakfast, and city views from the bar and coffee shop.

Both provide amenities tailored to business and religious travellers, including express check-in and check-out.
The relaunch coincides with a wave of new hospitality investments in Madinah. Hilton will debut its Tapestry Collection hotel in Saudi Arabia this November, in partnership with Al Musbah Group, while IHG is preparing to open a 383-room Crowne Plaza in 2026.
This surge reflects Madinah’s rapid tourism growth. The Holy City saw licensed hospitality facilities jump 93% in 2024 to more than 450, supported by over 20,600 hotel rooms and occupancy rates topping 81% in early 2025.
Visitor arrivals rose nearly 19% to reach 18 million last year, with the city targeting 30 million visitors annually by 2030 across its 400 religious, historical, and cultural landmarks.
