Coastal property reimagined as "design-led sanctuary" with nature-based experiences
Al Zorah Beach Resort has officially opened in Ajman, introducing a reimagined eco-luxury concept to the UAE’s smallest emirate.
The property, which previously operated as The Oberoi Beach Resort, has been repositioned as a peaceful retreat where nature takes centre stage.
It is currently in a transition phase and expected to reopen in 2026 under Four Seasons. In the meantime, guests can enjoy the rebranded resort’s natural setting, premium facilities and eco-luxury hospitality throughout this period.
Although only 35 minutes from Dubai International Airport, the resort has been designed to feel worlds away, offering what its owners describe as “a design-led sanctuary where time seems to slow, offering calm and connection with the natural environment.”

Nestled on Ajman’s untouched coastline, the resort blends contemporary architecture with its environment, featuring sweeping views of the beach and mangroves alongside lush landscaped gardens.
The resort offers 89 keys across rooms, suites and private villas, many complete with terraces, cabanas and private pools. Each space provides either sweeping ocean vistas or tranquil garden outlooks, ensuring an immersive connection with nature.
Wellness and recreation are central to the experience. The signature spa offers tailored retreat programmes, while kayaking and eco-adventures allow guests to explore the mangroves and surrounding landscapes.
Families are well catered to with a dedicated Kids Club, while those seeking activity can try a range of watersports or play at the neighbouring 18-hole championship golf course.
Culinary offerings include two distinctive venues. Vinesse, an all-day dining destination, serves international cuisine and will host a Saturday brunch, while Aquario offers beachfront dining with seasonal menus and themed dinners.
Non-residents can also purchase ‘daycation’ packages, which provide pool access and a taste of the resort’s lifestyle.
Speaking on the reopening, Krystel Irani, General Manager of Al Zorah Beach Resort, described the property as “a retreat for seekers of quiet luxury, wellness travellers, couples, families and corporate groups.”
She emphasised that what sets the resort apart is the warmth and attentiveness of its team, noting: “Guests are welcomed not as visitors but as part of our story, with experiences crafted to feel deeply personal and memorable.”
Ajman’s tourism sector is on the upswing, recording a nine percent increase in visitors in 2024. Its rising profile has also been reinforced by Travelbag’s recent global rankings for nighttime safety, which placed Ajman seventh worldwide—just behind Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah.
