Oman Air launches Muscat–Hanoi summer charter flights

Oman Air has partnered with Alwan Travel & Tourism to launch a new charter service between Muscat and Hanoi, expanding Vietnam travel options for GCC travellers this summer.

 

The weekly Tuesday service will operate from 14 July to 4 August 2026 and will be offered as part of a seven-night package including five-star accommodation, airport transfers and guided tours across Vietnam.

 

The launch forms part of Oman Air’s wider summer network expansion, which includes increased frequencies and new routes across Asia and Europe.

 

Ignacio Bosch, Vice President of Commercial Strategy, Network and Partnerships at Oman Air, said: “This new charter service aligns with our broader network growth and our efforts to increase access to high-demand routes, particularly during peak travel periods.” Bosch added that the cooperation could support future scheduled operations to Vietnam.

Talal Al Rawahi, General Manager at Alwan Travel & Tourism, said Vietnam represented a “high-potential destination” within the company’s expanding travel portfolio.

 

The Hanoi charter service comes ahead of Oman Air’s planned launch of its first non-stop Muscat–Singapore route on 2 July 2026 which marks the airline’s sixth destination in Far East Asia. 

 

The airline also introduced direct Moscow–Salalah charter flights, scheduled to begin operating from 15 May 2026, and is planning further Russian route expansion in 2026 before entering additional European markets from 2027.

 

Oman Air carried 5.8 million passengers in 2025, up 8% year-on-year, while inbound point-to-point traffic rose 34%, reflecting growing international demand for travel to the sultanate. The airline currently operates to more than 40 destinations across Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
