Qatar drops quarantine requirement for vaccinated UK tourists

Fully vaccinated travellers from the UK no longer have to quarantine on arrival

Qatar has removed the UK from its red list, easing restrictions for vaccinated arrivals from the UK.

Tourists entering Qatar must still submit a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours of departure and complete an online pre-travel registration at least three days before entering Qatar.

The pre-travel registration form requires travellers to “upload all relevant official documents, where applicable, such as vaccination certificates, evidence of previous Covid-19 infection, serology antibody test results (for conditional vaccines) and PCR lab result”.

Travellers must also sign an Undertaking and Acknowledgment form before arriving in Qatar.

Visitors are also required to download the Ehteraz contact tracing app operated by the Qatar Ministry of Public Health.

Qatar had placed the UK on its red list in November 2021 due to the UK’s rise in Covid-19 cases. There are now just nine countries on Qatar’s high-risk red list: Bangladesh, Egypt, Georgia, India, Jordan, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines and Sri Lanka.
