Social media personalities headline new videos as country targets rising GCC arrivals
Qatar Tourism has launched its ‘Winter in Qatar 2026’ campaign, a new marketing initiative focused squarely on GCC travellers.
The campaign, unveiled under Visit Qatar, leans heavily on the influence of popular regional content creators to showcase the destination’s appeal across social and digital platforms.
Their involvement comes as GCC arrivals to Qatar recorded double-digit growth of over 14% in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year, underscoring the region’s importance as a core visitor market.
Rolling out this September, the campaign features a series of three short films highlighting Qatar’s wide-ranging experiences, continuing the momentum of its successful summer push, ’Moments Made For You’.
Each video aims to connect with different traveller segments – from adventure seekers and luxury enthusiasts to families and culture lovers – while reflecting authentic narratives through regional influencers at the heart of the content.
The first release features Kuwaiti theatre actor and digital storyteller Khaled Abdullah Al Mouzaffar, who brings his energetic style to a weekend of desert dune drives at Sealine and ringside moments at UFC Fight Night.
Upcoming films will introduce audiences to GCC family lifestyle duo Farah and Aqeel with their young son Adam, followed by Lebanese fashion entrepreneur and influencer Karen Wazen and her family, who has more than 8 million followers on Instagram.

Beyond the films, the campaign spotlights Qatar’s iconic attractions: the dramatic landscapes of Ras Abrouq, tranquil luxury at Zulal Wellness Resort, global shopping at Place Vendôme and the cultural vibrancy of Souq Waqif and Katara Amphitheatre.
Culinary tours also take centre stage at Mina District and at the Qatar International Food Festival.
Complementing the promotional drive is a busy events calendar aimed at sustaining momentum from last year’s record performance.
Winter in Qatar 2026 will feature the country’s first UFC Fight Night in Doha, closely followed by the Formula 1® Qatar Airways Grand Prix, while the finale of the T100 Triathlon World Tour promises a multi-sport festival weekend.
Qatar attracted more than 5 million visitors in 2024, marking a 25% increase from 2023, fuelled by flagship events such as the Formula 1 and the AFC Asian Cup.
