Qatar’s cut-price experience packages target adventure seekers

Skiers and snowboarders who have missed out on a trip to the Pyrenees or Alps this year are being offered a cut-price deal

In partnership with the Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), tour operator Q Explorer Tourism has slashed the price of its sand sports packages by up to a third until September 2021.

The full-day desert safari package for two people with lunch or dinner at a desert camp now costs QR1,200 – down from QR1,700.

Q Explorer Tourism also has another package, which includes hotel accommodation at Marsa Malaz Kempinski The Pearl Doha.

QNTC’s Chief Operating Officer Berthold Trenkel said: “Travel restrictions have been challenging for many over the last 12 months and there is strong pent-up demand for adventure and new experiences among travellers.

“We invite those who enjoy the exhilaration of the slopes to seek their adrenalin rush on the desert dunes this year.

“Qatar is a compelling choice for active holidaymakers and the range of desert activities available are just a small number of the experiences this unique destination offers.”
