Reif Japanese Kushiyaki’s 15-course menu will be paired with a selection of teas
Chef and restaurateur Reif Othman, who was honoured with a UAE golden visa earlier this year, will host a one-off ticketed dinner on 6 December 2021 at the flagship Reif Japanese Kushiyaki in Dubai’s Dar Wasl to celebrate the UAE Golden Jubilee.
The celebration also marks a milestone in his 15-year culinary journey in the emirate.
Guests will enjoy an unconventional Japanese menu showcasing 15 of his most iconic dishes, paired with Avantcha teas presented by tea sommelier Marina Rabei.
Speaking about the event, Othman said: “I’m so grateful, given the challenges around the world, that we’ve had a successful year here in Dubai. We’re ending 2021 on a high note with a special one-off dinner to celebrate both the UAE Golden Jubilee and my 15-year journey.”
Othman has also created a selection of festive dishes for the holiday season, available at his two Dar Wasl mall restaurants from 9 to 25 December. The festive menu includes ‘turkey two-ways ramen’ with slow-cooked turkey breast and turkey meatballs; Reif’s Singaporean rice with a seasonal twist of slow-cooked turkey breast, and crispy duck confit with pan-seared foie gras, braised Brussels sprouts and chestnut rice.
The festive dessert is a hazelnut dacquoise sponge, with chocolate mousse, lotus and spice ice cream and caramelised hazelnuts. A festive log cake is available for pre-order and delivery.
Two seatings are available at 6.30pm and 9.30pm on 6 December, AED500 per person including a welcome mocktail, 15 sharing plates, tea pairing and a surprise golden gift. Email email@example.com
