Saudi Arabia to restrict key services to the vaccinated

Public transport is among the restricted services under the new regulation, which will be in effect from 6am on 10 October 2021

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has confirmed that access to several events, establishments and public transport in the kingdom will be restricted to those who have been fully vaccinated.

Those who aren’t vaccinated will no longer be able to board flights, access government buildings or enter many public spaces, including sports facilities and tourism attractions from 10 October.

The decision was based on the recommendations of local health authorities, as well as information provided by national and international scientific authorities on the importance of populations being fully vaccinated to reduce the potential spread of a variant strain of Covid-19.
