Celebrity River Cruises 2027 sailings sell out in less than 5 hours

Celebrity’s general sale for its inaugural river cruises sold out in less than five hours.

 

The general sale for Celebrity River Cruises’ 2027 sailings across two of the fleet’s new-build ships opened on 25 September, following its priority access booking selling out in six minutes on 3 September.

 

The first two ships in the initial order of 10, Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, will operate 33 seven-night sailings on the Rhine and the Danube throughout the year.

 

Each ship is expected to have capacity for about 170 passengers, and all voyages will be all-inclusive with food, drinks packages, one excursion per day, onboard activities and a Wi-Fi package in the price.

Speaking on sister publication Travel Weekly’s webcast, Celebrity Cruises Vice-President Giles Hawke promised there would be more opportunities for the trade to book on their clients with at least eight more ships coming online.

 

He added there would be “more to come” on announcements around venues and innovations on the ships, which will join an always-open top deck, retractable Magic Edge dining pods, infinity plunge pool and eight bars and restaurants, including favourites from Celebrity’s ocean-going ships, Café Arbacho and Martini Bar.

 

The line’s 33 river sailings in 2027 will visit Vienna, Budapest, Amsterdam and Strasbourg, with shore experiences ranging from Austrian wine tastings and Budapest thermal baths to cycling tours along the Danube. Pre- and post-cruise extensions will also be offered.

 

Celebrity Cruises said details of 2028 sailings would be unveiled early next year.
