Celebrity River Cruises priority booking access sold out in 6 minutes

Celebrity’s priority access for its inaugural river cruises sold out in just six minutes, highlighting what the line called a “record-breaking response” from the trade and consumers alike.

The Celebrity River Cruises launch on 3 September opened a limited number of 2027 Danube and Rhine sailings to early buyers, who secured space by placing a refundable £400 deposit. 

Those bookings must be completed by 10 October, ahead of the wider general sale later this month.

The rapid sell-out was a “clear signal of unprecedented demand and the strength of our global trade partnerships,” Mohamed Saeed, Managing Director, Royal Caribbean Middle East, said in a LinkedIn post.

The excitement stems from the unveiling of two new river ships designed to bring Celebrity’s modern luxury to Europe’s inland waterways. 

Drawing inspiration from the brand’s Edge Series ocean vessels, the ships feature a patent-pending layout with expanded space, increased light and personalised touches such as on-demand butler service.
