SHA opens wellness clinic in Mexico...

The brand aims to open a retreat on every continent

Spain's elite wellness centre SHA has opened its first outpost in Mexico, marking the initial phase of its global expansion plans, which include opening a branch in the UAE.

Building on the success of its flagship clinic in Alicante, Spain, the brand’s growth reflects current consumer demand for wellbeing holidays.

SHA Mexico (pictured) is located in the state of Quintana Roo in the eastern Yucatán Peninsula. Rising above the Mayan jungle, SHA Mexico was designed by renowned Mexican architectural firm Sordo Madaleno and interior designer Alejandro Escudero. The design merges the indoors with the outdoors using natural materials comprising Mexican ceramics, autochthonous textiles, wicker and marble.

Comprising 35 residences and 100 ocean front rooms and suites, each with private balconies that feature Caribbean Sea views and luxurious bathrooms with rain showers, the launch of SHA Mexico will further raise brand awareness ahead of the UAE opening.

Coming soon, SHA Emirates will offer the same state-of-the-art facilities and transformative wellness programmes available at the Mexico and Spain branches.

Each health programme is curated to meet guests’ needs through SHA's key disciplines: healthy nutrition, preventive and "well-ageing", holistic medicine, cognitive stimulation, advanced preventive diagnostics, inner balance, physical performance and healthy living, which form the basis of the SHA Method.

Guests can choose between four personalised programmes that range from four to 21 days in length.

The wellness brand will make its Middle East debut in 2025 with the launch of SHA Emirates at Al Jurf set along the Sahel Al Emarat coastline at the halfway point between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
