Sharjah reveals plans for the largest safari outside of Africa

The UAE-based park will be home to more than 120 species

The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) revealed new and upcoming tourism projects at Arabian Travel Market 2022 while underlining its commitment to sustainable tourism development in the emirate.

Sharjah’s Environment and Protected Areas Authority showcased Sharjah Safari, the largest safari in the world outside of Africa. The tourist attraction will include more than 120 species in an environment created to emulate African landscapes, covering an area of 8 square kilometres.

Sharjah International Airport Authority also showcased its new smart facilities, services and expansion projects designed to attract new airlines and cargo companies to Sharjah International Airport.

Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) also promoted its tourism developments, with a focus on its continually expanding collection of sustainable, immersive properties that make up the Mysk portfolio of hotels.
