Route has been suspended since April 2012
Turkish Airlines has officially resumed flights to Aleppo, Syria (ALP) from Istanbul Airport (IST) after a 13-year suspension, marking a strategic step in its regional expansion.
Following the successful relaunch of the airline’s Damascus route earlier this year, this is the second Syrian destination that Turkish Airlines now serves, strengthening relations as well as its own standing as a leading connector in the region for both business and leisure travellers.
Flights will initially operate thrice a week – on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday – with plans in place for five flights a week from 19 August 2025, before daily service begins on 1 September. Flights will depart from Istanbul at 8:10am arriving in Aleppo at 10:10am local time, while return flights will leave Aleppo at 12:10pm, touching down in Istanbul at 2:15pm.

Mahmut Yayla, SVP Sales (Region II) at Turkish Airlines said: "Aleppo is one of the region’s most historically and culturally significant cities. By reopening this route, we are not only enhancing travel options, but also fostering stronger economic and social ties between Türkiye and Syria. This is a continuation of our commitment to global connectivity.”
To mark the resumption of the route, Turkish Airlines is offering promotional round-trip fares from US$299, available exclusively on turkishairlines.com for tickets. Prices may vary at local sales offices and through authorised agents.
