Two e-learning topics explore Ramadan and key visitor incentives
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has expanded its travel trade e-learning platform, Experience Abu Dhabi Experts, with two new modules designed to strengthen destination knowledge among regional and international travel agents and operators.
The platform offers multilingual training across key source markets, including the GCC, UK, India, China, Germany, France and the US, giving users the tools they need to craft authentic recommendations and showcase the emirate’s diverse leisure, cultural and hospitality offerings.
The latest additions — Official Abu Dhabi Pass and Ramadan in Abu Dhabi — expand the platform’s library to 11 modules, each featuring an interactive, quiz-based approach that encourages engagement while deepening product knowledge. On completion, agents receive certification as Experience Abu Dhabi Experts, recognising their enhanced expertise in promoting the emirate.
Two New Modules
The new Official Abu Dhabi Pass module introduces the benefits of DCT Abu Dhabi’s digital pass, which offers visitors savings of up to 50% across more than 70 attractions, including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and SeaWorld Yas Island. The training explains how the pass streamlines itinerary planning, adds value to visitor experiences and supports agents in designing cost-effective, seamless journeys for their clients.
It also highlights trade-exclusive benefits such as wholesale pricing via a dedicated B2B portal and access to complimentary services including a tourist shuttle and SIM cards.

Meanwhile, the new Ramadan in Abu Dhabi module provides cultural and contextual guidance around this important time of year. Participants learn how to introduce travellers to the significance of Ramadan, its traditions and the many experiences available during the holy month, from Iftar and Suhoor dining to evening markets and mosque tours.
The course aims to help agents recommend the destination with cultural sensitivity and authenticity, ensuring travellers enjoy a meaningful and well-informed visit.
Abdulla Yousuf, Director of International Operations at DCT Abu Dhabi, said the new modules provide partners with “practical, hands-on tools that make a real difference” to how they sell the destination. "This expansion ensures the knowledge they gain translates directly into stronger product design, more memorable experiences and greater visitor satisfaction," he added.
This move comes as Abu Dhabi enjoys record-breaking visitation numbers. In the first half of 2025, the UAE capital’s cultural and heritage sites welcomed more than four million visitors – up 47% year on year – led by Louvre Abu Dhabi with some 780,000 guests. Hotels saw 2.9 million visitors during the same period, boosting revenues by 20% and pushing occupancy to 80%, while Abu Dhabi Airports reported 15.8 million passengers, a 13.1% increase.
