Year-round services will begin from 1 October 2026
Emirates will introduce a new non-stop daily service between Dubai and Helsinki, Finland, from 1 October 2026, becoming the only carrier to offer year-round direct flights linking the UAE and the Finnish capital.
Named one of Lonely Planet’s must-visit destinations for 2026, Finland draws travellers with its natural wonders, from the northern lights in winter to the midnight sun, which offers 24 hours of sunlight during summer months. Helsinki is home to many historic sites, including the Helsinki Cathedral and Senate Square, as well as the Unesco-listed Fortress of Suomenlinna.
The new service will depart Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 08:45, arriving in Helsinki Airport (HEL) at 14:55, while the return leg will leave Helsinki at 16:45 and land in Dubai at 00:20 the next day. Timings are designed to ensure optimal connectivity via DXB to major passenger hubs across Asia, Africa and Australasia, including Beijing, Cape Town, Riyadh and Auckland.

The route will be operated by an A350 aircraft, Emirates’ newest widebody plane, accommodating up to 298 passengers in three different class cabins: Business, Premium Economy and Economy.
Commenting on the new launch, Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, said, “There is already strong demand between Helsinki and Dubai, with travellers connecting through our other Nordic gateways, so introducing direct, year-round connectivity is a natural next step, making the flight seamless and non-stop, while introducing more premium travel options to the market.”
Previously, Emirates connected passengers to Finland via partner airlines including Finnair, Air Baltic and Lufthansa. Helsinki joins the airline’s growing list of Nordic destinations, including Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
As Emirates continues to grow its operations, the carrier is enhancing its on-board experiences, rolling out Premium Economy cabins to more routes and introducing Starlink WiFi services across its entire fleet by 2027.
