Features include on-demand butler service and the most “useable outdoor space” of any such vessel
Celebrity Cruises has revealed the interiors of its two new luxury river ships, Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, set to debut in 2027 on Europe’s Rhine and Danube rivers.
This follows the launch in January of the line’s dedicated river division, Celebrity River Cruises, with early access bookings for the inaugural itineraries selling out in just six minutes, a clear sign of strong demand for the brand’s entry into the river cruise market.
Guests can now place a fully refundable US$500 deposit to secure a stateroom on either ship.
Designed with a patent-pending layout, Celebrity River Cruises’ ships blend elements of the brand’s Edge Series ocean vessels with European design influences.
The result is increased space and light, elevated luxury offerings such as on-demand butler service and a closer connection to the surrounding destinations.
The onboard experience will feature the first-ever cantilevered dining pods, known as Magic Edge, giving guests the sensation of floating above the water.
Guests can also enjoy expansive open decks with the "most useable outdoor space" of any river boat, offering uninterrupted 360-degree views and an infinity-edge plunge pool, plus bar and grill for destination-inspired dining.

Public deck areas are divided into zones for socialising or relaxation, equipped with shade structures and flexible furniture intended for use year-round.
Accommodations consist of five stateroom categories, all featuring king-sized beds, luxury linens and destination-inspired amenities.
Select suites showcase Celebrity’s Infinite Veranda concept, allowing guests to convert their windows into open-air balconies at the touch of a button.
The Skylight Infinite Balcony Suites introduce a separate living area and ceiling windows to maximise natural light.
Balcony and Vista Balcony Suites offer enhanced outdoor space, while River View staterooms provide wide windows for generous daylight.
Suite guests gain access to on-demand butler service via ‘Butler Chat,’ exclusive dining and happy hour events, priority shore excursion booking and complimentary laundry once per voyage.
Dining options are diverse, with eight venues reflecting regional culinary influences and providing 24/7 meal availability.
Familiar Celebrity bars and cafes such as Martini Bar, Sunset Bar and Café Al Bacio join the new Magic Edge dining pods to offer unique waterside views during meals.
The launch includes 33 seven-night sailings on the Rhine and Danube rivers, featuring culturally rich cities including Vienna, Budapest, Amsterdam and Strasbourg.
Shore excursions will vary from private wine tastings in Austria and thermal baths in Budapest to cycling along the scenic Danube riverbanks, with enhanced pre- and post-cruise stays also available to extend guests’ exploration of key destinations.
Sustainability features include hybrid propulsion systems, noise and vibration reduction technology and waste management systems, reflecting Royal Caribbean Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
Celebrity River Cruises also extend loyalty programme benefits to travellers on these voyages.
Remaining 2027 inventory will open to the public later this month.
