Dubai-based hospitality group adds The Maltese Falcon to its Privé collection
Jumeirah Group has expanded beyond the shoreline with the addition of one of the world’s most celebrated sailing superyachts, The Maltese Falcon, to its ultra-luxury Jumeirah Privé collection. The move marks the Dubai-based hospitality group’s debut in luxury yachting, adding a new ultra-luxury option for high-end travellers.
Joining Jumeirah Thanda Island — the private island retreat in Tanzania’s Shungimbili Island Marine Reserve — The Maltese Falcon becomes the second experience in the Jumeirah Privé portfolio, extending the collection’s reach from land to sea.
Set to launch in December 2025 from Antigua, the fully refitted 88-metre sailing yacht will begin its first season under the Jumeirah Privé banner with a Caribbean itinerary featuring The Bahamas, Saint Martin and Saint Barth. In summer, it will cross to the Mediterranean to cruise the Balearic Islands, the French Riviera and Monaco, along with Italy’s Amalfi Coast and Sardinia, and the coastlines of Croatia, Montenegro, Greece and Türkiye.
Designed to accommodate up to 12 guests, The Maltese Falcon will offer a blend of privacy and sociable spaces, including a full-beam master suite and VIP deck with a private terrace and four double cabins, while a three-deck atrium with a spiral staircase forms the yacht’s visual centrepiece.
On deck, guests can enjoy an outdoor cinema that projects onto the yacht’s lower sail, a rotating circular sunbed on the flybridge, and a range of water-based activities supported by equipment for diving, jet skiing, kayaking and paddleboarding. There will also be a dedicated wellness area with a massage room and fitness studio.
Signature Jumeirah experiences include tailored dining and bespoke wellness treatments.

Since its launch in 2006, the award-winning Maltese Falcon has become an icon of modern sailing, featuring a revolutionary DynaRig system with three freestanding carbon-fibre masts capable of deploying 2,400 square metres of sail in just six minutes.
Commenting on the announcement, Thomas B. Meier, CEO of Jumeirah, said: “Designed for the most discerning travellers, this collaboration reflects our commitment to creating distinctive and purposeful experiences that combine privacy, exclusivity and exceptional service. The yacht’s heritage and craftsmanship are truly remarkable, and our role in this partnership will be to further elevate the onboard journey through our culinary expertise, wellness experiences and the warm spirit of Arabian hospitality that defines Jumeirah.”
Launched to cater to ultra-high-net-worth travellers, Jumeirah Privé curates exclusive homes, estates, private islands and experiences in the world’s most desirable destinations. The collection sits alongside Jumeirah’s three other pillars — Jumeirah Icons, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts and Jumeirah Residences.
Jumeirah plans to double the size of its portfolio by 2030, targeting expansion across key regional and international markets.
