New Al Sahafa property accelerates group’s push for 100 locations across the kingdom by 2030
Radisson Hotel Group has expanded its footprint in Saudi Arabia with the opening of Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Al Sahafa, its eighth property in the capital.
The opening is part of the group’s ambitious growth strategy, which aims for 100 hotels in Saudi Arabia by 2030.
Set in Riyadh’s northern Sahafa District, the property is surrounded by tree‑lined streets that offer a calming retreat from the city, while keeping guests within easy reach of the city’s cultural and business hubs.
Just 20 minutes from King Khalid International Airport, it offers easy access to nearby attractions such as Riyadh Boulevard, King Salman Social Center Park, Riyadh Park and the King Abdullah Financial District.
With floor‑to‑ceiling windows framing sweeping skyline views, this 171‑room hotel blends contemporary design with the warmth of Saudi hospitality, its interiors echoing Riyadh’s sleek urban style and rich cultural heritage.
Guests can enjoy a choice of dining experiences. Al Diwan Restaurant serves international cuisine and themed nights, The Terrace Restaurant & Lounge brings Mediterranean flavours to a vibrant open-air setting, while Al Multaqa Café offers freshly brewed coffee and handmade pastries in a relaxed lobby atmosphere.
Facilities include a fully equipped fitness centre and a dedicated Kids’ Club for children aged 4 to 10. For events, there’s a 560sqm Sidra Grand Ballroom that hosts up to 400 guests, plus five meeting rooms with natural daylight and advanced audiovisual technology.
Commenting on the opening, Hazem Ibrahim, General Manager, said the hotel “drops guests right into the capital’s newest, most dynamic district” and pairs Saudi Arabia’s “vibrant culture with the high standards our brand is known for.”
Already operating more than 30 properties in Saudi, including eight in Riyadh, Radisson Hotel Group recently made its debut in Madinah, opening Radisson Hotel Madinah just steps from the Quba Mosque, as well as two new Park Inn hotels in Makkah.
