Airline carried nearly 5 million passengers over three months
Sharjah-based Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED278 million (US$76 million) for the first quarter of 2026, down 22% year-on-year from AED355 million in Q1 2025, as regional airspace disruptions impacted flight capacity across the Middle East.
Across its four hubs – in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan – the low-cost carrier posted revenue of AED1.8 billion for the three months ending 31 March 2026, up 1% from the corresponding quarter in 2025.
Air Arabia transported 4.7 million passengers across its network during the quarter, down 5% from the previous year. Despite operational constraints linked to regional conflict, demand remained resilient, with the seat load factor rising from 84% to 86%.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia, said: “Despite these challenges, we are pleased to have delivered a solid first-quarter performance, supported by continued strong passenger demand across our network wherever we operate.
“Our ability to optimise capacity and maintain operational continuity enabled us to effectively manage the impact during this ongoing critical period.”
The first-quarter results follow a record 2025 performance for the airline, when Air Arabia reported AED1.8 billion (US$490 million) in net profit, its highest annual earnings to date, supported by network expansion and increased capacity. During the year, the carrier transported 21.8 million passengers across its operations.
Air Arabia currently operates a fleet of 90 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, with additional deliveries scheduled later this year, as it continues network expansion. Recent additions include three weekly flights to Amman Civil Airport (ADJ) from May 2026, complementing its existing services to Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Jordan.
