Passengers can now fly to 13 cities across Nigeria
Emirates has introduced a new interline agreement with West African carrier Air Peace, further extending connectivity between the UAE and Nigeria.
Travellers can now fly to 13 cities on Air Peace’s network with connections via the Nigerian capital Lagos, including Asaba, Abuja, Akure, Benin City, Calabar, Enugu, Ilorin, Kaduna, Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Warri and Uyo.
The agreement also opens up additional West African destinations beyond Nigeria. Passengers can reach Banjul in the Gambia and Dakar in Senegal via Abidjan, as well as Freetown in Sierra Leone and Monrovia in Liberia via Accra.
Under the new partnership, customers will benefit from seamless single-ticket itineraries, including through-checked baggage on select routes. The Dubai–Lagos route is operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, making Emirates one of only two airlines offering a First Class cabin to Nigeria.

The collaboration gives West African travellers convenient access to key European gateways, including London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, alongside a wide range of onward connections across Emirates’ global network.
Commenting on the enhanced agreement, Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, said: “Enhancing our interline partnership with Air Peace allows us to expand our footprint across more of Africa, creating new opportunities for people to fly better with Emirates, while helping international tourists explore more of the region, via Lagos.”
Elsewhere in Africa, Emirates is set to introduce a third daily service on its Dubai–Nairobi route from 1 March 2026, increasing its schedule to 21 weekly flights to the Kenyan capital.
Other GCC carriers are also ramping up capacity on the continent, including Qatar Airways, which will operate seven additional weekly flights to Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban starting from February 2026.
