New service will begin on 1 May 2026
Emirates is set to launch a second daily service to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport (NRT) from 1 May 2026, increasing its weekly Japan capacity to 28 flights and more than 22,500 seats across its three gateways.
The new service will depart Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 22:30 and arrive in Tokyo Narita at 13:30 the following day. Return flights will leave at 21:30, reaching Dubai at 03:50 the next morning.
Afternoon arrivals in Japan will support onward connections to 36 domestic destinations via partner carriers Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways. Meanwhile, passengers at DXB can benefit from early morning schedules for travel to key African, Asian and European hubs.

A refurbished Boeing 777 with modernised interiors will be deployed on Tokyo Narita services, featuring four cabin classes with eight First Class Suites, 40 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats and 260 Economy seats.
Emirates currently operates three daily flights to Japan, serving Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda and Osaka. The airline is rolling out Chauffeur-Drive services for premium passengers at Narita Airport in February 2026, followed by Kansai International Airport (KIX) from 1 March.
Japan remains a key outbound market for the GCC, with a 7% year-on-year increase in travel demand from Muslim travellers, according to Wego’s 2025 round-trip flight search data. Early booking trends for 2026 also indicate sustained interest in the country, according to Dnata Travel’s Head of Retail and Leisure UAE, Meerah Ketait.
