Thrice-weekly services unlock Baltic city breaks for UAE-based travellers
Flydubai has launched direct flights connecting Dubai with the Baltic capitals of Riga and Vilnius, further strengthening air links between the UAE and Latvia and marking the first time travellers can fly non-stop between the UAE and Lithuania.
The addition of these routes reinforces the carrier’s strategy to strengthen connectivity to underserved markets. Flydubai now operates flights to 35 European destinations across 20 countries, following the recent launch of services to Chișinău in Moldova and Iași in Romania.
From Dubai International Airport’s (DXB) Terminal 3, Flydubai will operate three weekly flights to Vilnius International Airport (VNO) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart Dubai at 17:30 and arrive in Vilnius at 22:35, with return services departing Vilnius at 23:35 and landing in Dubai at 08:20 the following morning.
Flights to Latvia’s capital, Riga, will also run three times weekly between Dubai and the Baltics’ largest airport, Riga International Airport (RIX). Departures from Dubai are scheduled for 16:55, arriving in Riga at 22:20, with the return leg departing at 23:20 and touching down in Dubai at 08:15 the next day.
Fares start from EUR390 (AED1,680) for Economy Class Lite and from EUR7,505 (AED36,360) for return Business Class tickets. Economy Class passengers can enjoy complimentary meals and immersive inflight entertainment following Flydubai’s recent enhancement of its onboard offering, while Business Class customers benefit from spacious lie‑flat seats.
Rich in history and culture, Riga sits on the banks of the Daugava River and is celebrated for its Unescolisted Old Town, cobbled medieval streets and remarkable Art Nouveau architecture. Visitors can explore highlights such as St Peter’s Church, the city’s diverse museums, lively markets and riverside promenades, as well as the nearby coastal resorts of Jūrmala.
Vilnius, Lithuania’s capital, also boasts a Unesco‑listed historic centre framed by lush hills and winding medieval lanes. The city combines churches, galleries, creative urban spaces and a vibrant café culture, with easy access to surrounding forests, lakes and countryside retreats.
