Former Jet2holidays Trade Sales General Manager to spearhead growth
Gulf Air Holidays has recruited Lloyd Cross, the former Trade Sales General Manager at Jet2holidays as Europe Agency Sales Director.
Cross announced in August 2025 that he was leaving Jet2holidays after 13 years with the tour operator.
In his new role, Cross will work with Souchil Rogbeer, Sales and Marketing Vice-President at Gulf Air Holidays, the new operating arm of Bahrain-based Gulf Air.
According to Rogbeer’s LinkedIn profile, he has been Vice-President with the Gulf Air Group since January 2024, spearheading the launch for Gulf Air Holidays.
Launched as a standalone holiday booking platform in 2022, Gulf Air Holidays aims to support Bahrain’s bid to attract 14.1 million tourists annually by 2026.

Just last month, Gulf Air announced plans to launch a direct Bahrain–New York service in October. The route will operate three times a week and marks the airline’s first-ever transatlantic flight, representing a major milestone in its international expansion strategy.
Earlier this year, Bahrain’s national carrier began flights to London’s Gatwick, operating three times a week using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
