Marriott’s Le Royal Méridien Doha opens in Qatar

The hotel connects to Place Vendôme Qatar, Lusail’s new Paris-inspired mall with 580 shops

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 hotel brands, unveils Le Royal Méridien Doha, marking Le Méridien’s debut in Qatar.

Located in Qatar’s ‘future city’, Lusail, Le Royal Méridien Doha is a 15-minute drive from downtown Doha, a 12-minute drive to Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre, and is the closest hotel to Lusail Stadium.

The 377-room hotel features 240  guest rooms and 53 suites offering sea or city views.

The hotel is also home to 137 residences, comprising studios, and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments

With a contemporary aesthetic, rooms feature creams and blues in contrast with pops of orange, and sculptural lines. Designed with comfort in mind, each room has a spacious en suite bathroom with a large bathtub and separate rain shower, a desk and a television.

Club guests have exclusive access to the hotel’s Club Lounge facilities offering complimentary breakfasts and a daily happy hour. Le Royal Club guests get daily breakfast and fruit baskets, afternoon tea, evening canapés and drinks.

In the decor, guests will find nods to Qatar’s pearl diving heritage. Look out for the bohemian crystals chandeliers representing mother of pearl shells and coral reef art pieces.

The hotel’s culinary concepts include Adrift Anda by David Myers, which fuses a Roman trattoria with a Florentine steakhouse, serving artisanal pizza, pasta and Bistecca Fiorentina cooked over a charcoal grill.

Open-air restaurant Yedi, situated on the Vendôme canal, offers a taste of Turkey from chef Esat Levent Akyildiz, serving authentic street food found across the seven regions of the country.

Mixology is an essential element of the culinary experience at Le Royal Méridien Doha, with signature cocktails curated by iconic mixologist Jimmy Barrat.

In the lobby, Loleya Cafe offers light bites and drinks, classic French pastries and signature Arab desserts crafted by Qatari chef Aziz Al Qubaisi.

The GOAT Sports Lounge is a casual restaurant offering 19 screens dedicated to live sport and music, an outdoor terrace, a private viewing room, pool table, mixology and comfort food.
