Michael Robinson to lead property through multi-million-dollar transformation
Minor Hotels has appointed Michael Robinson as General Manager at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, effective 30 June 2025.
Robinson brings more than 15 years of international hospitality experience to the role, stepping in as the resort undergoes a multi-million-dollar transformation. He will oversee extensive renovations, including upgraded accommodations and reimagined dining concepts.
The New Zealander is no stranger to Dubai, having previously spent six years in the UAE with managerial roles at both Grand Hyatt Doha and Park Hyatt Dubai earlier in his career.
Most recently, Robinson held several senior positions within Minor Hotels across Southeast Asia, including as General Manager of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, where he implemented strategic enhancements that boosted guest satisfaction and operational outcomes.
Prior to that, he led FCC Angkor by Avani in Cambodia, successfully guiding the property through its post-pandemic recovery and achieving significant financial and reputational gains.
