More details of Saudi's Sindalah luxury Island resort unveiled

First destination to open in NEOM will feature a marina, a beach club and a golf course

More details have been unveiled about Sindalah, the highly anticipated luxury island resort, which will be the first to open in NEOM.

One of Saudi Arabia's giga-project destinations, NEOM is under development in Tabuk on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coastline.

Originally scheduled to launch in 2024, much of Sindalah has been created by Luca Dini Design & Architecture (LDDA). Founded by Luca Dini in 1996 in Florence, Italy, the company specialises in bespoke yacht and architectural design. From Sindalah’s initial concept, LDDA has been instrumental in shaping the island, integrating yachting-inspired elements.

Marriott and Four Seasons are among the hotel groups adding accommodation options to the resort, while IMG Golf Course Services and MDLBEAST will deliver entertainment.

Sindalah Marina
Equipped with advanced docking facilities, robust security systems and comprehensive concierge services, the marina is designed to position Sindalah as a leading destination in the yachting world, serving as a stopover for super yachts traversing the Suez Canal. Featuring 86 berths and additional offshore buoys, visitors will have access to the marina's high-end boutiques, leisure facilities and restaurants.

Sindalah Golf Club
Last year, NEOM announced a partnership with industry leader IMG Golf Course Services to open a nine-hole beachfront golf course on Sindalah. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, the 6,474-yard (5,920-metre) par 70 golf course will boast nine holes and 18 teeing points, as well as a 280-metre driving range and golf practice suites fitted with state-of-the-art ball tracking technology and statistics feedback. The course is also set to be GEO certified, meaning it must demonstrate the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility.

Sustainable Design
Influenced by Sindalah’s colour palette, LDDA's design incorporates natural, handmade materials such as translucent and iridescent elements, reflecting the coral reefs and pristine waters of the Red Sea, while the architecture highlights sustainability using bespoke materials developed in collaboration with local artisans.
