LVMH’s boutique coastal retreat on Naïa Island to open in 2029
Dubai has revealed plans for Naïa Island, a private estate and new destination just off the Jumeirah coast near the Burj Al Arab.
Scheduled to open in 2029, the island will feature the Middle East’s first Cheval Blanc Maison, offering what developers describe as a “quiet luxury” experience.
Developed by Shamal Holding, the project will feature low-rise, green and open architecture designed to provide clear views of both the sea and the city skyline.
Landscaped gardens, green corridors and contemporary buildings will be integrated with the coastal surroundings to create a calm, low-density setting.
At the centre of Naïa Island, Cheval Blanc Maison — the ultra‑luxury hotel brand from LVMH — will open its first property in the region, joining existing locations in Paris, St Tropez and the Seychelles.
The boutique hotel will include just 30 suites and 40 villas, each with a private pool, sea views, direct beachfront access and bespoke service. Interiors will focus on light, space and a connection to the surroundings.
Facilities will include several dining options, a spa, art installations, landscaped gardens and curated experiences, designed to provide a calm, secluded environment. A private marina will offer direct access to the Arabian Gulf for visiting yachts.

Demand has pushed Dubai International Airport (DXB) to new heights, welcoming a record 46 million passengers through its gates between January and June, the busiest first half in the airport’s 65-year history, and a 2.3% rise year on year.
