Waterfront retreat includes floating and beachfront villas, a spa and padel court
Marriott International is set to expand its luxury portfolio in the UAE with the signing of The St Regis Mirfa Beach Resort, slated to open in 2029 along Abu Dhabi’s western shores.
The project, developed in partnership with Rashed Darwish Al Ketbi (RDK) Commercial Investments, marks the fifth St Regis property in the UAE and the third in Abu Dhabi, joining a growing GCC portfolio that includes eight operational hotels and resorts.
Located around 150km from Abu Dhabi city, the waterfront resort will bring the brand’s hallmark butler service and refined rituals to the tranquil coastal enclave of Mirfa, celebrated for its natural beauty and unspoiled beaches, as well as cultural landmarks such as Al Mirfa Fort.
The all-villa property will reflect the region’s heritage and landscape, featuring 63 exclusive beachfront and floating villas designed for uninterrupted sea views and seamless indoor-outdoor living.
Each villa will include floating pools, upper and lower decks, skylight flooring, shaded canopies and private lifts.

RDK Commercial Investments COO Raja Zeidan added: “This collaboration reflects our continued commitment to shaping exceptional destinations that honor their environment while setting a new benchmark in luxury hospitality for the region.”
The signing follows Marriott’s continued regional growth, including a new St Regis resort in Bodrum, Türkiye, expected to open in 2030.
The brand currently operates eight properties in the GCC, including four in the UAE (two in Dubai and two in Abu Dhabi), one in Doha, one in Oman and two in Saudi, located in Riyadh and the Red Sea.
Joining St Regis Mirfa in the development pipeline are The St Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl in Qatar, and The St Regis Jeddah, both scheduled for completion in 2030.
