Airline will also increase frequencies to Riyadh and Jeddah from January 2026
Qatar Airways is set to introduce three weekly flights connecting Doha and Hail, expanding its Saudi network to 13 cities from January 2026. The announcement was made by CEO Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer during a panel at the Tourism Summit 2025 in Riyadh, as the airline continues to strengthen its connectivity within the kingdom.
Al-Meer also revealed plans for an increase in frequencies connecting Doha with Jeddah and Riyadh, with flights rising from six to seven per day to meet "strong demand" across business, leisure and religious travel segments.
Located in the kingdom’s northwestern region, Hail is known for its dramatic desert scenery and Unesco-listed rock art sites, with the city developing rapidly as an adventure and heritage tourism destination.
The new service, launching on 5 January 2026, will link Doha’s Hamad International Airport (DOH) with Hail International Airport (HAS) every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Flights will depart DOH at 14:20, arriving in HAS at 16:30, with return flights leaving HAS at 17:30, landing in DOH at 19:25.

Qatar Airways to launch flights to The Red Sea in Saudi
With this latest route, Qatar Airways now serves every major region of Saudi, operating more than 150 weekly flights across its extensive network.
The expansion follows a year of solid growth for Qatar Airways in Saudi, marked by the return of flights to Abha earlier in 2025 and the October launch of services to The Red Sea, making it the first international carrier to connect the destination directly to more than 170 global cities.
“Over the past 12 months, we have connected nearly 2.5 million passengers in the kingdom to our global network,” Al-Meer added.
