The aircraft will accommodate an additional 163 passengers daily
Starting 6 December 2022, Qatar Airways will be increasing passenger capacity on its flights to and from Perth, Australia with a larger aircraft.
Previously operated by the Boeing B777-300ER, passengers will now have a chance to journey on board an A380, featuring a three-class configuration of seating over two decks with a dedicated onboard premium lounge.
The aircraft has a capacity of 517 seats spread across the three cabins: eight First Class seats, 48 Business Class seats and 461 Economy Class seats.
During the tournament, which will take place 6 to 20 December 2022, flights from Doha will depart daily at 03:15, arriving in Perth at 19:15. The return leg will leave Perth at 21:50 and arrive in Doha at 04:15 the next day.
From 21 December 2022, flights will depart Doha earlier at 02:35 and arrive in Perth at 18:35. The flight back to Doha will depart later at 22:55 and arrive at 05:25.

As well as helping to meet demand during FIFA World Cup, this update in operations is part of the recent strategic partnership between Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia.
