More than 654,000 travellers visited the emirate in H1 2025
Dubbed the UAE’s adventure emirate, Ras Al Khaimah continues to rise to greater heights in tourism with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) reporting robust visitor numbers for the first half of 2025.
With 654,000 tourists visiting the emirate, the emirate has seen impressive 6% year-on-year growth, setting a record for the highest ever number observed over a six-month period. The number translated to 9% growth in tourism revenue, and a 36% rise in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) and wedding revenue, underlining the versatility of the emirate’s touristic appeal.
“From expanded air connectivity to high-profile hotel developments and a growing calendar of events, Ras Al Khaimah is on track to achieve its goal of attracting over 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030,” said RAKTDA CEO Raki Phillips.

It’s been reported that the largest increase in visitors arriving in Ras Al Khaimah came from India (a 25% increase), China (9.2%) and Russia (7%). There’s also been a considerable increase in tourists from European and Central Asian points of origin, such as Romania (65%), Poland (56%), Uzbekistan (47%) and Belarus (30%). While an expansion in flight connectivity has played a large role in this rise, direct flights landing at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) have also contributed significantly.
Additionally, the northern emirate has demonstrated landmark growth with respect to its hotel developments, with reputed hospitality brands such as Four Seasons, Fairmont, Taj and NH Collection establishing their presence and ensuring the emirate is on track to meet its goal of doubling its number of hotel keys by 2030.
Strategic ties continue to gain momentum, with partnerships being signed with leading Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) in China and Saudi Arabia, while a blockchain-based tourism rewards platform with Open World is currently in its nascent stage.
In the events sphere, mainstays such as the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon and the new Jais Ride cycling event have helped the emirate raise the bar as a hub for sports tourism.
