Artwork by 11 artists will be showcased around the island in The Bahamas
Royal Caribbean is extending its Artist Discovery Program to the upcoming Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas. Set to open in December 2025, it is the brand’s newest project and the third vacation destination of Royal Caribbean.
First introduced on the cruise line’s Icon of the Seas vessel, the initiative is making its land debut with 11 Bahamian artists commissioned to create artwork across 25 locations at the first beach club in the Royal Beach Club Collection.
Designed to promote emerging local talent, the initiative provides grants for the creation of large-scale murals, sculptures and other installations to be displayed throughout the island.
The artwork will be inspired by three central themes reflecting Bahamian culture and environment: Underwater Adventures, highlighting marine life; Junkanoo Jubilee, celebrating local music, dance and traditions; and Bahama Bliss, representing relaxation and escape.
Two signature installations will lead the art collection including a six-metre-tall Junkanoo-inspired mural by Allan Wallace and a vintage postcard-style welcome piece by portrait artist Deldra Sands.
Other featured artists include Minolta Butler, June Collie, Preston Hanna, Amaani Hepburn, Chaavanté Newton, John Paul, Lamaro Smith, Edrin Symonette and Angelika Wallace-Whitfield, each contributing murals or sculptures inspired by Bahamian life.

Philip Simon, President of Royal Caribbean Group Bahamas, said: “We could not be more excited to share the Artist Discovery Program cohort for Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, a group of local artists who have a true passion for their craft and their home, The Bahamas.
“Bahamian culture is known to be vibrant and dynamic, and the pieces created by these artists will reflect the lively energy and beautiful landscape of The Bahamas throughout the destination.”
In development since 2017, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island will span 17 acres near the western end of Paradise Island. The destination will feature three distinct zones, each designed for different guest experiences: Family Beach, Chill Beach and Party Cove.
Major attractions across the island include a two-storey family cabana, a VIP poolside area and the world’s largest swim-up bar.
The beach club joins Royal Caribbean’s expanding portfolio of destinations, which includes Labadee in Haiti and Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas. Upcoming destination projects include the Royal Beach Club Cozumel, set to open in 2026, and Perfect Day Mexico in 2027.
