From 2022, the airline will be the only North American carrier to offer flights to Jordan’s capital
United Airlines has announced its largest transatlantic expansion to date. The carrier will add 10 new routes and five new destinations in 2022.
United Airlines will offer thrice-weekly flights to the Jordanian capital starting from 5 May 2022. The service will depart from Washington DC.
Along with Amman, other new destinations launching in 2022 include Ponta Delgada in the Azores (daily from 13 May), Bergen in Norway (thrice-weekly from 20 May), Palma de Mallorca (thrice-weekly from 2 June) and Tenerife (thrice-weekly from 9 June). All will be served from New York’s Newark airport,

Commenting on the announcement, Patrick Quayle, United Airlines senior vice president of international network and alliances, said: “Given our big expectations for a rebound in travel to Europe for summer, this is the right time to leverage our leading global network in new, exciting ways.
