Orthodox Christmas Day will be celebrated on Tuesday 7 January 2025, in countries including Greece, Belarus, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Russia and Ukraine, while Armenia will celebrate on Monday 6 January.
To mark the occasion, Atlantis Dubai is dishing up a festive-inspired menu of specially curated dishes and music alongside appearances by Ded Moroz (Father Frost) and his Snow Maiden, Snegurochka.
From one-Michelin-starred restaurant Ossiano to Japanese heavyweight Nobu and food market-inspired Gastronomy, the collection of restaurants at Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal are ready to welcome guests from all over the world.
Ossiano: Atlantis The Palm's flagship fine-dining restaurant is inviting guests on a sensorial journey. The Ossiano Orthodox Christmas dinner experience pairs a selection of dishes with a carefully curated wine menu and views of The Ambassador Lagoon, where 65,000 marine animals swim. To elevate the evening further, the one-Michelin-starred restaurant will present a premium range of caviar.

Ayamna: Lebanese restaurant Ayamna invites guests to experience the magic of Orthodox Christmas with an authentic Arabian dinner of chargrilled meats and flavour-packed mezze. Among standout dishes, diners can choose to feast on the Ayamna wagyu shish kebab, Lebanese bone marrow and glazed root vegetables with gravy sauce.
Nobu Dubai: Known for its Japanese-Peruvian cuisine crafted by celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Nobu is offering guests a bespoke à la carte menu that includes whole lobster with yuzu truffle miso butter and wasabi salsa, and salmon tataki with caviar and jalapeno sour cream. A resident DJ will get everyone into the festive spirit.

Seafire Steakhouse: Caviar will take centre stage at Seafire Steakhouse during Orthodox Christmas celebrations. Renowned for its high-quality meat and bespoke steak experience, this New York Steakhouse-style restaurant offers an a la carte menu with festive-inspired dishes featuring luxury ingredients. Specially curated dishes include truffled steak tartare, Oscietra caviar, pepper-crusted Prime Rib, and grilled Norwegian king crab, paired with a menu of signature cocktails and wines carefully selected by the resident sommelier.
Saffron: The home of an award-winning Asian buffet, casual dining venue Saffron invites guests young and old to experience the coolest contemporary Orthodox Christmas celebration in town. The festive menu features an array of fresh seafood alongside traditional Slavic delicacies, including Olivier salad, savoury pancakes, roasted whole duck and salmon coulibiac. Entertainment includes a live DJ and an appearance from Ded Moroz, aka Father Frost or Santa Claus, accompanied by the Snow Maiden.
Plato's: Set amid an oasis of turquoise shades and cascading crystal chandeliers, newly refurbished lobby lounge Plato's is offering an elegant and festive afternoon tea experience. While gazing out over The Palm Island, guests can tuck into a decadent spread of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and homemade desserts, served alongside coffee, Avantcha speciality teas, cocktails and champagne.

La Mar by Gastón Acurio: Set against the backdrop of the Dubai Marina skyline, La Mar by acclaimed Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio will celebrate the Orthodox holidays with exclusive and exquisite ingredients, including king crab, caviar and select fish from the ceviche bar.
Eestiatorio Milos by Costas Spiliadis: Renowned for its Greek seafood, Eestiatorio Milos from acclaimed chef Costas Spiliadis is embracing the spirit of Orthodox Christmas by inviting guests to embark on the ultimate gastronomic journey. Diners will be treated to a lavish dinner featuring the best of Greek Mediterranean cuisine and ingredients to a backdrop of live music.

The Royal Tearoom with Christophe Devoille: Housed in the lobby of one of the World's 50 Best Hotels, The Royal Tearoom offers an elevated afternoon tea meticulously crafted by Christophe Devoille. Guests will be treated to an indulgent savoury menu that includes Alaskan king crab tart topped with Kaluga caviar, a brie de Meaux with umeboshi and winter truffles, and wagyu coppa paired with baked apple and comté. Dessert is equally decadent and includes a vanilla and hazelnut yule log, gingerbread madeleine with citrus marmalade, and a refreshing fromage blanc granita.
Gastronomy: Guests are invited to explore myriad flavours at Dubai's favourite dining hall. With 17 live cooking stations, four bars and an array of more than 100 dishes, Gastronomy will take diners on a celebratory culinary journey of cuisines from all over the world. This includes a clutch of authentic Slavic dishes and ingredients including pirozhki, smoked sturgeon and Olivier salad. The vibrant environment is perfect for family gatherings.
