Dubai’s flag carrier will soon operate the largest Starlink-enabled fleet worldwide
Emirates will begin offering free Starlink-powered WiFi services across its entire fleet starting with the Boeing 777 in November 2025. It will also become the world’s first airline to equip the Airbus A380 with the service. The full rollout for all 232 aircraft is expected to be completed by 2027.
Starlink, operated by SpaceX, will provide passengers with ground-like connectivity at cruising altitude. The service will be complimentary for all passengers across all cabin classes, with one-click access and no Skywards membership requirements.
With the new high-speed connection, passengers will be able to make calls and access online content on both personal devices and the aircraft’s seatback screens. Live television streaming via Starlink will also be available on passenger devices, and later seatback screens by December 2025. This comes in addition to the airline’s existing limited live broadcasts coverage.
The airline is displaying its first Starlink-equipped aircraft, a Boeing 777-300ER (A6-EPF), at the 2025 Dubai Airshow, where visitors can test the connection on the ground. Following the completion of the airshow, A6-EPF will re-enter commercial service as the first Emirates aircraft to offer Starlink.

To advance the rollout, Emirates will equip approximately 14 aircraft per month, with installation for the Airbus A380 fleet to begin in February 2026. Once complete, the airline is expected to operate the world’s largest A380 Starlink fleet. All Boeing 777 aircraft will be fitted with two antennas, while Airbus A380s will feature three antennas.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said: "Partnering with Starlink is another defining moment in our continuous commitment to ensuring our customers ‘fly better’.
“We’re introducing the world’s fastest Wi-Fi, elevating what passengers can expect from inflight connectivity, like seamless productivity, real-time communication with loved ones, and uninterrupted connection to their digital lives.”
While Starlink’s partnership with Emirates is one of their most large-scale deployments, the satellite internet service provider is not new to the region.
The company first introduced its internet services to Qatar Airways in 2024, offering passengers gate-to-gate connectivity. Currently, the carrier is operating more than 100 Starlink-enabled aircraft, having completed its rollout for all Boeing 777 planes and reaching completion for their Airbus A350 models.
