Great Rail Journeys partners with Azamara Cruises

Great Rail Journeys has partnered with Azamara Cruises to launch a tour and ocean cruise collection for 2027.

 

The itineraries combine signature rail tours with a tour manager and a cruise with the specialist destination immersion line.

 

To commemorate the launch, Great Rail Journeys is offering a AED4,800 (£1,000) discount off upgrades to a Veranda, Veranda Plus or Continental Suite, when booked before 15 December. 

 

The 16-night Glacier Express Tour & Italy, France Spain Cruise includes an escorted tour on two of Switzerland’s most famous rail journeys and a Mediterranean cruise from Rome to Barcelona, starting from AED23,960 (£4,999). 

 

The 15-night Lake Garda Tour & Venice, Sicily, Amalfi cruise leads in at AED21,560 (£4,499) and comprises an escorted tour of Lake Garda, Verona and a Valpolicella winery, followed by a cruise from Venice.

The 17 or 19-night Rocky Mountaineer Tour & Icy Strait, Ketchikan Cruise combines a tour by train with a sailing through the Inside Passage in Alaska, costing from AED40,740.

 

Great Rail Journeys added a collection of walking tours earlier this year, and this tour and ocean cruise collection builds on the operator’s combined rail and river cruise range, which now makes up one fifth of the company’s total business after its launch in 2018.
