Jazeera Airways to launch Kuwait to London flights

Kuwait-based low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways will launch direct flights between Kuwait International Airport (KWI) and London Luton Airport (LTN) from 8 July, marking the airline’s first direct commercial service to London.

The route will initially operate four times weekly from KWI Terminal 5 before increasing to daily flights from 1 August. Services will run until 21 September 2026.

Flights will be operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft. The outbound flight will depart Kuwait at 9.10am and arrive in London at 2pm, while the return flight will leave London Luton at 2.45pm and land in Kuwait at 11.05pm.

Round-trip fares will start from KD239 (US$774), with flight times of up to seven hours.

The route is intended to strengthen connectivity between Kuwait and the UK and add capacity during the summer travel period.

The launch follows the phased resumption of operations at Kuwait International Airport after disruption linked to the Iran conflict affected regional airspace and flight schedules earlier this year.

Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways resumed operations from Kuwait on 26 April, with Jazeera Airways restarting limited non-stop services from Terminal 5 as regional aviation operations gradually stabilised.

The London service follows Jazeera Airways’ recent European network expansion, including direct flights to Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY), the airline’s first non-stop route between Kuwait and Italy.

Jazeera Airways reported its strongest financial performance in the carrier’s history as it marked 20 years of operations. Net profit for 2025 more than doubled year-on-year to KD21.8 million (US$80 million), supported by rising passenger demand, network expansion and higher operating revenues.
