Jean-Marc Boutilly brings 35 years of industry experience to Yanbu property
Kempinski Hotel & Resort Sariya Yanbu has appointed Jean-Marc Boutilly as General Manager.
Boutilly brings more than three decades of luxury hospitality experience to Yanbu’s first five-star resort, which opened in the Red Sea port city in February.
He has spent more than 20 years in senior management roles across Switzerland, where he built a reputation for operational excellence and team leadership.
Before joining Kempinski, Boutilly served as Group Managing Director of Villars Alpine Resort, leading its repositioning as one of Switzerland’s top mountain destinations.
His previous projects include the successful turnarounds and launches of several properties, among them Chandolin Boutique Hotel, Hotel Le Mirador, Hotel Crans Ambassador and Hotel des Trois Couronnes.
Beginning his career as a sous chef, Boutilly has continued to draw on his culinary background to strengthen guest experience and service quality throughout his career.

As the brand’s second property in Saudi Arabia, Kempinski Hotel & Resort Sariya Yanbu features 118 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a ballroom, meeting and fitness facilities, a marina and an infinity pool with direct beach access.
Sebastien Mariette, Vice President Operations for Bahrain, KSA, Levant and Morocco at Kempinski Hotels, described the appointment as a key step in the group’s regional growth strategy. That pipeline includes Kempinski Harbour Heights Bahrain, slated to open later this year.
Kempinski’s Saudi portfolio also includes the Kempinski Al Othman Hotel in Al Khobar.
