Maldives’ Sun Siyam resort reveals festive programme

Sun Siyam Iru Veli, the all-inclusive resort in Maldives’ Dhaalu Atoll, has unveiled its holiday season lineup, ‘Eden Reimagined’, featuring a curated mix of dining, entertainment and family-friendly experiences.

Running from 22 December 2025 to 7 January 2026, the celebrations kick off with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, followed by a Santa Claus meet-and-greet on Christmas Day. The resort’s Turtle Kidz Club will host activities, including card-making, pool parties and bunny-feeding sessions.

Throughout this period, the resort will also host experiences for couples. Culinary offerings include chef’s table dinners and exclusive lagoon tastings, while activities range from Ayurveda wellness classes to creative workshops, including wreath-making and paint-and-sip sessions. For adventure seekers, night snorkelling sessions offer a chance to explore the atoll’s marine life under the stars.

The resort has curated a diverse entertainment lineup, featuring upbeat sets by Sri Lankan DJ Nisho and live jazz performances by Filipino group Pakners, with members Aiza and Reden. Guests can also look forward to aerial displays by UK artist Amelia Bridgewater and thematic dances by Chandana Wickramasinghe & The Dancers’ Guild.

On New Year’s Eve, a gala dinner will take centre stage, accompanied by live performances throughout the evening, followed by a fireworks display over the lagoon at midnight. 

Operated by Sun Siyam Resorts, the property opened in 2018 as the hospitality group’s fourth resort in the Maldives. Sun Siyam Iru Veli features 125 beachfront and overwater villas, with amenities such as 24/7 in-villa dining services.
