Ship set to operate Caribbean sailings from Miami for 2026–27 season
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has christened its newest vessel, Norwegian Luna, during a ceremony in PortMiami on 27 March 2026, ahead of its inaugural Caribbean season.
With more than 2,000 guests in attendance, the ceremony included a traditional bottle-breaking, led by artist Elle, who designed the ship’s hull artwork.
The 3,565-passenger ship is NCL’s second vessel in the Prima Plus Class and will operate round-trip sailings from Miami up to April 2027, with itineraries across the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Ports of call include the line’s private island destinations, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas and Harvest Caye in Belize.
Marc Kazlauskas, President of NCL, said: "Norwegian Luna represents the evolution of NCL – a brand built on freedom, flexibility and delivering experiences that resonate with every type of traveller.”

Accommodation spans 1,809 staterooms, including suites in The Haven by Norwegian, the brand’s ship-within-a-ship luxury concept. The vessel also features 17 dining venues, serving multinational cuisines, and 18 bars and lounges.
Nightly entertainment programming includes productions inspired by the music of Elton John and the Eagles, comprising live performances and acrobatics.
Following its year-long Miami season, the Norwegian Luna will reposition to New York in April 2027, offering Bermuda itineraries.
