The 3,565-passenger ship expands the line’s fleet to 21 vessels
Norwegian Cruise Line has taken delivery of Norwegian Luna, its 21st ship and the second in the Prima Plus Class, from Fincantieri at the Marghera shipyard in Italy.
At 156,000 gross tonnes, Norwegian Luna features 1,809 staterooms with capacity for 3,565 passengers. Accommodations range from inside and ocean-view cabins to balcony options and suites. For luxury seekers, The Haven by Norwegian offers an exclusive ship-within-a-ship experience, complete with spacious staterooms, dedicated public areas, private restaurants and personal butler and concierge services.
Onboard attractions include an outdoor amusement-park-style area, gaming zones and water slides, while those looking to unwind can visit the Mandara Spa or the adults-only Vibe Beach Club. Nightly entertainment features live performances, including a cirque-style acrobatics show honouring Elton John and a tribute to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, culinary offerings on the Norwegian Luna include 17 restaurants and 18 bars and lounges. Dining venues span Italian cuisine at Onda by Scarpetta to Mexican at Los Lobos, alongside 24-hour service at the Indulge Food Hall.
Commenting on the delivery, Marc Kazlauskas, President of NCL, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Norwegian Luna to our fleet and to welcome our first guests aboard next week. She delivers freedom, flexibility and thoughtfully curated experiences, allowing guests to enjoy their vacation exactly how they want, with ease.”
Norwegian Luna is set to arrive in the US on 23 March 2026 for its PortMiami debut, with an official christening scheduled for 27 March.
During its first year of service, the ship will operate three-, four- and seven-day Caribbean itineraries from Miami, calling at eastern Caribbean ports between 11 April and 7 November, including Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and Cozumel in Mexico. The vessel will also visit NCL’s private island and resort destinations, such as Great Stirrup Cay and Harvest Caye. Western Caribbean itineraries are expected to begin in November 2026.
In April 2027, the ship will also debut in New York City, offering four- to seven-day Bermuda voyages with overnight stays at the Royal Naval Dockyard.
The arrival of Norwegian Luna comes as NCL has entered a new agreement with Fincantieri to build three additional ships. Under the deal, one vessel will be added for each of NCL’s brands — Norwegian, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises — with deliveries expected between 2036 and 2037.
