Four flagship projects include a Swissotel in Jeddah and Mövenpick in Madinah
Accor has signed an agreement to develop and manage more than 3,000 keys across Saudi Arabia, including landmark projects in the Holy Cities.
As part of the deal with BinDawood Investment’s hospitality arm, Al Qimmah, the group will launch four flagship properties in the first phase, spanning premium, midscale and economy brands.
Among the new developments are a 288-key Swissotel in Jeddah, located near King Abdulaziz International Airport, and a 1,015-key Mövenpick in Madinah offering convenient access to the Holy Mosque. Both properties are scheduled to open in 2029.
In addition, two existing hotels in Makkah will undergo major renovations: the 801-key Ibis Styles Makkah Mesfalah, less than 2km from the Holy Mosque, and the 1,078-key Mercure Makkah Shesha, close to the Mina pilgrimage site.
The refurbished properties are expected to reopen in 2027.
