Accor to open luxury property in Saudi Arabia

Fairmont Ajdan Al Khobar will open in 2023

Accor has signed a new Fairmont property in Saudi Arabia in Al Khobar in the Eastern province of the kingdom. The five-star Fairmont Ajdan Al Khobar will be part of the Ajdan Waterfront development.

Speaking about the new signing, Accor CEO India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey Mark Willis said: “We believe the new Fairmont Ajdan Al Khobar will become the ultimate premier urban waterfront development in the Eastern Province, and maybe even the whole of Saudi Arabia, adding to the strong momentum the Fairmont brand is seeing in the Kingdom after the successful opening of Fairmont Riyadh.”

Set to open in 2023, the hotel will feature 160 rooms and serviced apartments, as well as four dining outlets and extensive meeting spaces. Facilities will also include a Gold Lounge, a Fairmont Spa, a fitness area, a swimming pool and a kids club.

The hospitality group is partnering with Ajdan Real Estate Development Company, the lifestyle focus, internationally award-winning developer. This comes as part of its plan to expand its luxury footprint in Saudi Arabia.

 Commenting on the partnership, Ajdan Real Estate Development Company chairman Abdullah AlFozan said: “Our values rest on promoting social transformation, helping to enrich lives, and driving forward the Saudi 2030 vision. We couldn’t think of a better partner than Accor to join our vision and develop the Fairmont hotel on Ajdan.”

Accor currently operates 39 properties with 14,314 keys in KSA with a pipeline of 33 properties with 10,060 keys.
