Emrecan Ergin to lead regional operations from newly-opened Riyadh office
Plaza Premium Group, the global airport hospitality provider, has appointed Emrecan Ergin as Vice President for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), expanding its global leadership structure as part of a strengthened focus on the region.
This appointment follows the recent opening of the Group’s regional headquarters in Riyadh, set up to provide support for its operations in the Middle East, from airport lounges and hotels to meet & greet, fast track and concierge services.
Ergin will be based in Riyadh and is responsible for overseeing operations, developing partnerships with airport and hospitality stakeholders, driving innovation in service delivery and supporting strategic growth plans across the region.
His appointment comes during a period of active investment and service expansion for the group in the MEA region.
Since joining Plaza Premium Group in 2020, Ergin has led multi-market management as Area Manager in Türkiye and Hungary, successfully leading complex multi-market portfolios and operational teams.

As well as accelerating the group’s footprint, he has elevated guest experiences across key regions.
Prior to joining PPG, Ergin held business development and strategic planning roles with major international firms in the aviation and retail sectors.
Commenting on the appointment, Okan Kufeci, SVP for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Plaza Premium Group, said Emrecan’s “deep regional insights and operational acumen” had been instrumental in advancing Plaza Premium Group’s mission.

The group now operates lounges at Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, and Red Sea International Airport, with a team of 350 in Saudi Arabia serving around 100,000 travellers each month.
Globally, Plaza Premium Group runs lounges and services in more than 600 airports, reaching 24 million passengers a year through its portfolio of 14 brands.
