Dubai-based Chedi Hospitality has promoted Aditya Jain to the newly created role of Chief Development Officer, marking a strategic milestone as the group accelerates international expansion. The appointment follows recent development announcements including the unveiling of The Chedi Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, set to open in 2029.
In his new position, Jain will lead Chedi Hospitality’s global development strategy across hotels, resorts and branded residences, with a focus on reinforcing core markets in Asia and EMEA, and guiding the brand’s return to the US. His remit includes building partnerships rooted in cultural authenticity while safeguarding Chedi’s long-term brand integrity.
Jain joined Chedi Hospitality in 2020 as Vice President of Development, and brings more than a decade of experience in international real estate and hospitality. He has since played a pivotal role in shaping the group’s selective growth strategy and securing landmark partnerships across Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

Among his key achievements is the creation of The Chedi Private Residences, which he established as a standalone business vertical. Under his leadership, the brand’s reach has extended across diverse typologies including resorts, heritage properties and slow-living destinations.
Prior to joining the group, Jain spent four years with JLL in Mumbai, gaining hands-on expertise in evaluating and structuring complex development projects. He holds an academic background in Real Estate and Construction Economics.
Commenting on the promotion, Stephan Schupbach, President and Group CEO of Chedi Hospitality, said: “Aditya has played a decisive role in securing key strategic partnerships and in establishing the Chedi Private Residences as a standalone development field. In his new role, he will also take responsibility for the further international positioning of the brand, including our strategic return to the US market.”
Jain added that at Chedi Hospitality, development was about more than expansion, it was about creating projects that are “meaningful, relevant and enduring”, designed to deliver long-term value for both partners and the communities they touch.
The appointment follows a period of sustained growth for the brand. Chedi Hospitality is set to expand its Middle East footprint with The Chedi Trojena in Neom, opening in 2028, and The Chedi Wadi Safar in Diriyah Gate. These additions join an expanding regional portfolio spanning seven properties across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt and Oman.
In 2025, the group also bolstered its leadership structure, appointing a new COO and new General Managers for The Chedi Muscat and The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah, as part of its ongoing organisational evolution.
