The island nation was followed by Singapore and Switzerland in the ranking
Data from YouGov’s Travel Rankings 2022 report has revealed that Maldives has topped YouGov’s Destination Rankings 2022 among responsible travellers in the UAE.
Responsible travellers are defined as those who are "wellness-focused, culturally-minded and care about environmental impact".
The YouGov DestinationIndex was compiled by analysing the public’s perception of destinations on a daily basis across a range of measures.

The destination rankings in UAE were compiled using a consideration score, which indicates the percentage of consumers who would consider travelling to the destination on their next holiday.
After Maldives, Singapore is next on the list with a score of 20, followed by Switzerland in third place, scoring 19.3.
Canada and the USA were ranked fourth and fifth (scoring 18.4 each) and the UK came sixth (scoring 18.1).
Along with Singapore, other Asian destinations currently appealing to responsible UAE residents are Philippines (17.0), Japan (16.0), Malaysia (14.6) and Thailand (14.4).
