Luxury property set for 2030 debut as part of city’s new waterfront destination
Mandarin Oriental is set to open a new hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2030, joining the group’s expanding collection in the Middle East, which includes recent openings such as Mandarin Oriental Dubai Downtown and its flagship property in Riyadh.
Developed in partnership with Jeddah Central Development Company and Kohn Pedersen Fox, the 255-key Mandarin Oriental Jeddah will join luxury hospitality brands including Atlantis and One&Only in the emerging Jeddah Central district, a premium waterfront destination set along the city’s historic corniche.
Once complete, the district will feature a marina, dining and retail promenades, cultural attractions and four standout landmarks: an opera house, sports stadium, oceanarium and museum.
Mandarin Oriental Jeddah is envisioned as a low-rise, low-density retreat, thoughtfully combining regional architectural influences with modern elegance.
The property will feature 140 rooms and suites offering sweeping Red Sea views, alongside 115 serviced apartments and private dining spaces tailored for extended stays. There will also be 187 branded residences, from two to four bedrooms.
Five distinct restaurants will offer a range of culinary experiences, complemented by wellness facilities including The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, and a fully serviced kids’ club and crèche designed for different age groups.

Commenting on the project, Laurent Kleitman, Group CEO of Mandarin Oriental, said: “Following the success of Mandarin Oriental, Riyadh, this new development reflects our confidence in Saudi Arabia’s growing appeal as a destination for luxury hospitality and cultural exchange."
He adds: "Mandarin Oriental, Jeddah will create a distinctive lifestyle hub inspired by the city’s culture and heritage, offering immersive experiences in a refined, contemporary setting.”
Mandarin Oriental’s Middle East portfolio includes six operating hotels: three in the UAE (two in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi), alongside properties in Doha, Muscat and Riyadh. The newly opened Mandarin Oriental Dubai Downtown features 259 rooms and suites, including a penthouse with an in-suite theatre, a two-level spa, 10 dining venues, and a rooftop helipad.
