Celebrity reveals details of "most expansive entertainment offering" on Xcel

Celebrity Cruises has revealed details of its “most expansive entertainment offering” on Celebrity Xcel, with five new shows alongside live music, dance parties and festivals on board.

 

The line claims its newest Edge Class ship will have “the most resident performers” on board offering passengers three new theatre productions, two interactive club shows and more.

 

The theatre shows will feature Celebrity Cruises’ largest cast to date, including singers, dancers, parkour artists and aerial performers alongside kinetic lighting, laser video etching, projection mapping, pyrotechnics and a 110-foot curved kinetic LED screen.

 

Mainstage will take passengers through the world’s iconic music festivals, Between Takes will transport the audience to 1920s Hollywood and Chapters will centre on “a visually stunning through nature”.

 

The two new interactive shows in The Club venue will be called 254 West and HOTEL, which will be 80s and murder mystery themed, respectively.

Live music and dance parties will take place throughout the ship from the Saddle Up Saloon for country classics to candlelit concerts and piano bar entertainment.

 

Shine the Night party will also return offering a “perfect date” under the stars.

 

Xcel’s new venue The Bazaar will also offer entertainment in the form of four festivals: Carnival, Aqua, Viva and Flora, which tap into the regions the ships visit with performances and hands-on activities.
