Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort to open in Santorini

The luxury resort is set to open on the Greek island in April 2022

Due to open this spring, the Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort Santorini is located just steps away from Kamari, Santorini’s most prominent beach.

The 103-key resort marks the first luxury hospitality offering from Athens-based Fais Group.

Greek-based architects Arc-Set are responsible for Zaffron’s concept design and aims to reflect the rugged landscape of the island while giving a nod to Santorini’s skyline.

The use of domes is also apparent in the interior of the generously spaced rooms, suites and villas that range from a superior room with a king bed to the presidential suite with a private plunge pool.

Zeffirino restaurant carries the gravitas of its historical counterpart in Genova, an establishment that’s been family-run for five generations since 1939, with stars such as Sofia Loren, Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Mohamed Ali and Pope John Paul II among its many fans. The venue offers an authentic Italian fine dining experience with the use of local produce and much-loved recipes created by Zeffirino Belloni family. 

For more laid-back moments, Trattoria Belloni offers a choice of classic Italian dishes and comfort food, while the Blu Pool Bar will serve sushi and signature cocktails.

Being by the sea, Zaffron also features a beach, with sunset parties a part of its entertainment programme.

At the resort’s spa, guests can benefit from wellness treatments that tap into the healing properties of Greek nature. The spa will feature Korres skincare and beauty products made from natural ingredients inspired by homeopathic remedies.
