Flights to Bahrain will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has announced that it will launch flights to Bahrain starting 9 September 2021 with one-way fares starting at AED129 (US$35).
Commenting on the announcement, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi managing director Kees Van Schaick said: “Increasing the connectivity within the GCC has always been a priority for us at Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. We are excited to offer an alternative and affordable travel option for the short flight to the Kingdom of Bahrain. We’re confident that Bahrain will be a welcome addition to our flight roster.”
The airline recently announced that it will soon commence flights to Tirana and Sarajevo. The addition of Bahrain increases the airline’s network to 32 destinations.

On 31 July, Abu Dhabi added Bahrain to its green list. Vaccinated travellers arriving from green list countries are exempt from mandatory quarantine measures on arriving in Abu Dhabi but will be required to undergo PCR testing upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport, followed by another PCR test on day six.
Unvaccinated travellers arriving from these countries are exempt from mandatory quarantine but will need to take a PCR test on arrival and take two additional PCR tests on day six and 12.
